We engaged with Quiver Tree Capital in 2019 regarding a potential BBBEE ownership solution for our entity. As a multinational, it took some time to get our shareholders to fully comprehend the BBBEE requirements locally, and to get their buy in. In early Nov 2021, we received shareholder approval to commence the transaction, and after a busy month the new structure was effective on 3 Dec 2021. The implementation process was well run by Quiver Tree, particularly Daniella from their legal team, which allowed us to execute in quick time. Most importantly, our BBBEE verification commenced in early 2022, with the structure being fully verified by the verification agent in delivery the full 25 ownership points, as well as the 5 ED and 5 SED points.
